"Let me start this review by stating that I am very hard to please and demand a lot from people that I hire to perform specific services. Glennda was the listing agent on our house when we purchased it in 2008 and we did not hesitate to call her when it was time for us to move on in October of 2013. She came to meet with us and look at the house prior to listing and made recommendations on items to address/not address prior to listing. We found this very helpful because there were items we had planned on spending money on that Glennda told us would not matter and would just be a waste of our money. During this visit she also gave us a range for what she thought we could sell the house for based on a thorough competitive market analysis. When we listed the house at her recommended price it was like Grand Central Station that first week with showing after showing. We had multiple offers which spoke to the power of pricing your property correctly. The offers we did receive were very low to start and we were a little frustrated, but Glennda stuck with us as we negotiated hard and ended up with a full price offer. Unfortunately, these buyers had a change of heart less than 1 week into the due diligence period and backed out. Glennda did a fantastic job of keeping us calm in this stressful situation and reached out to all parties that had shown interest when the house was first listed. Within 24 hours of being back in the computer we had multiple offers again and ended up accepting one within 1.5% of our asking price. WOW! Glennda guided us though the inspection and financing contingency periods and we felt good about everything going into the week prior to closing. Unfortunately again, we had the deal fall through as our buyer was denied a loan less than 24 hours prior to closing despite pre-approval (WHAT!?!). While we panicked, Glenna kept calm and again had showings scheduled within 24 hours of re-listing the property for the 3rd time. We took a week of vacation and despite the house being 90% packed and full of boxes, we received multiple offers again. With Glennda's coaching we accepted an offer that was only slightly below what we were getting on the second contract, but with the earnest money we were entitled from the 2nd buyer it was essentially a wash. Even though there were some low comps in the neighborhood, the appraisal came in right at the contract price thanks to Glennda's help putting together a packet of information for the appraiser. Glennda was able to get her closing attorney to expedite the process and we closed on the house within 2 weeks of our 3rd contract being agreed to. From start to close the entire sales process took less than 60 days. Glennda displayed a positive attitude through the entire process though I know that I was difficult to work with and borderline rude with her at times. In the end she got us everything we were asking for and we were able to make a move that was good for our family. We joke with Glennda that she is part of our family because she has worked with me and both my siblings, but she truly is a valued friend and honorary Gillespie. She made a very difficult and stressful process easier to deal with and delivered outstanding results. The special "Glennda-only-touches" she adds to her listings makes them stand out in the crowd and out "sparkle" all the other listings. We HIGHLY recommend her and would not hesitate to use her services again in the future (hopefully it won't be for a long time though)!"
